Phone Power - Stay Away!
I have been using this company for VOIP service for over a decade. I have been purchasing a 2 year plans and they bill every year nonetheless. They have charged me every year rather than 2 years as per contract. In 2019 I finally caught on the scam and noticed they're been billing me annually. I spoke to Jazlene on march 12, 2019. She said there's nothing to be done about the back payments they have stolen. However they would honor the 2019 charge for 2 years of service. One year later on February 4, 2020 I was once again billed. This is unacceptable. Slimy scammers! Stay away! There should be a class action suit against them!

In 2015 I had phone power for a short time and it just wasn't Working out so i cancelled by phone. The next thing i knew i received a bill for another month from them. I called back and told them that i had cancelled the service. evidently no one canceled on their side. Two days ago i received a call from a collection agency about the caceled charge. Please tale this out of collections. Thank you.

Or phone service was Suspended!! Payment is taken out automatically each month. I called to see what happened. For some unknown reason the payment was not taken out of bank account. Customer service said there is a $15 reconnect charge, but since we never had a suspended account, they will wave the $15!!!! Phone back online!! Great customer service !!!! I tried to access the web site to pay, but was unable to access my account online. Thanks, happy customer, Mark Beaver Like Happy

Bad Billing Practice

PP billed me for an aditional year of service. My current credit card information had changed. I chose not to continue service with them and they then sent my bill for 175 to collections for a service that I don't even have or desire to continue. I didn't receive any notice that I was being billed for an aditional year or that I would be sent to collections. I feel that for this small amount that sending me to collections is poor business and I was a customer for 10 years and received notification that I was up for renewal and that I had the option to continue service. I didn't have a chance to end my service or prevent this in the first place.

They have to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Bought the system for my kids to have a phone that can be split.

System didn't work most of the time, when it did work the call quality was horrendous. Worked with their support multiple times, all they do is blame the internet connection (Rogers cable, 250mb and runs perfectly).

Cancelled the service and settled up. About a year later they renewed the cancelled service and the collection calls started, I tried to work with them to resolve but they insisted on me paying $300 for a service I hadn't used. I refused and sent the cancellation proof.

They didn't accept it.

The collection calls have continued and they have even reported me to creditors. Don't care as my credit is great even with this.

Stay far away from these scam artists.

Donโ€™t use them, poor customer support, poor quality service, no supervision, no call backs. Tried to stop service and did but kept getting billed. Took an attorney to get my money back. They are full of promises and also full of excuses. I am going back to vonage, more money but better service. Just a shame that they will not communicate with their customers and make no effort to provide quality service or customer support. Read their yelp reviews and you will see more of the same. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. When it does work the quality was good, it just would fail and crash all the time. Tech support was hard to get and only gave excuses for down times and refused to offer service credits or refunds.

where's my phone

I've been trying for almost a month to get a low cost phone service setup thru your company. I have talked to my present provider half a dozen times. they (vonage) say they have no problem that the people there @ phone power could port my number anytime.. i'd like to get this accomplished asap. if this is not possible please advise... Only friendly when your signing up or renewing

Phone power is horrific. I have /was an ongoing custome since 2010 I prepaid my service for 2 year periods. after about the 5-6th year I started having issues. 1: not being able to make an outgoing call. 2 the quality of the cals was un useable. both resulting in having to phone in and spend 1-2 hours. sometimes with a solution but as time progressed no solution. I stayed with them till 2017. when I finally had enough. I called them and expressed my issues and said "I have been loyal all these years etc... I want to continue to be a customer etc.. Just fix my service. No fix no credit just bad service. I phoned their accounting dept. they cared even less. I terminated my account via an email expressing my issues and why I was terminating. 4 months later? they send me a 99 dollar bill and tell me their going to send it to collections! the nerve of these people... STAY AWAY!!!!!

I paid for one year of service which I did not use. Then they just withdrew 148.00 dollars from my account a year later without even sending me an email informing me of the renewal which I would have responsded to immediately.

I am now overdrawn. Shame on you, Phone Power.

How can a prepay phone service send me to a collection company after I cancelled?

Phone Power sent me to collection after I cancelled my service. I paid for my service. I had been paying Phonepower.com 1 to 2 years in advance. I cancelled my service and I requested they transfer my 800 number to another company. They didn't transfer my number. I ended up loosing my 800#. I called several times while my phone was still active for them to transfer my 800 number. I switch to another company when I had more than 1 month of prepaid service credit left and I still ended up losing my 800# and then they sent me to collection a year after I stopped using their service. I've lost a lot of business because Phone Power did not transfer my 800 number. I'm really pissed that this Prepaid Voip Phone provider sent me to collection.

My phone could not call out. They claimed was a problem with the platform. They purchased Broadvoice and since then my phone service has been undependable to not working at all. I have been waiting on my cell phone for an HOUR and they leave you waiting while forced to listen to piano playing. I feel like a fool for paying money and not getting anything in return except aggravation. The FCC should revoke their ability to work with the public. My wife and I have used the Broadvoice phone service for many years and while we would have to reregister our device from time to time the phone system worked well for the most part. NOT NOW.

False Advertising / Not Clear - International Unlimited plan comes with "restrictions"

Terrible Customer Service!!!!!! I signed up for Phonepower because it had what seemed to be good international plan that stated unlimited calling to ~78 countries. I got it for the specific reason of calling Venezuela for personal reasons. My mom lives there and is going through an chronic illness. I call every day to check in on her. However i got flagged for "excessive usage". The notice to warn me was sent via email, and went straight to junk mail. About three months later, I get a call stating that I had been flagged for excessive usage (this was the first call I received). The Customer Rep said it was only a warning, and that my account would be monitored. If I had a recurrence then i would be changed to a domestic plan, and have to pay for any international additional calls. However when I checked my email from the same day, there was a notice stating that my plan had been changed to a domestic plan. I called again, and the customer service rep confirmed that the email was correct, that i had been changed to a different plan. Customer service did not have their act together....They basically gave me contradictory information... I'm really frustrated, I've submitted my cancellation (which seems may be an issue as well, given the reviews here).
