Phone Power

Was a customer with VOIP provider for years. PhonePower offers voip phone service. They raised their rates by around 10.00/mo at which point I decided to take Vonage up on their offer of 9.99/mo 6 months later I realized I was still being billed by Phone Power for 25.00/mo for the last 6 months AFTER my phone number was ported to Vonage!! When I called them they said that I did not call and request cancellation. I have switched many phone companies in my life and NEVER had to tell the former provider I was cancelling!!! That should be obvious when they no longer own my number!!! They offered to refund 1 month as a "courtesy". Well, I'm telling anyone who will listen, as a "courtesy", DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PHONE POWER!!!!

PhonePower does not work with FAX

Purchased phonepower over a year ago to use as a FAX Line for my home office and i've had nothing but problems. I've spent numerous hours and placed over 20 calls into their Help Desk who at points were able to temporarily resolve my faxing issue but the problems kept coming. Not being able to receive fax, or send fax. They lock you in a 2 year contract and if you try to leave (even for a legitimate reason) you get charged with $99 termination fee and no prorated refund if you did not use their service for the whole 2 year duration. If you are using it as a phone it may work well but FAX does not work... Go somewhere else who is more reliable and addresses their customer concern instead of charging you more money.

Phone Power Outage Caused Disruption in Service

Phone Power is a VoIP internet phone company that allows customers to place domestic and international calls directly from the internet. They also offer VoIP hardware that plugs directly into broadband modems to help small businesses connect with clients. VoIP is a handy service for residential customers who need low-cost phone services without the need for a land line. The Phone Power outage caused disruption in website and phone service yesterday. The downed service made it so that no one could log in, get the website to work to access account information, or contact tech support about the problem.

Phone Power

I barely had Phone Power service less than 24 hours and I already canceled it. I was looking for a better VoIP service that have better quality of line compared to Vonage or Time Warner. Instead, I got a company which does not care on how your home network environment. Prior to making changes, I asked the tech support 3 times on whether or not it will disrupt my ability to do perform my daily activities. He assured me that it has nothing to do with my ISP setting. Well, it did and not only he won't admitted that it did screwed up my home network environment and he dared to lecture me on how to spend my money. Well, I don't have to spend my money on Phone Power, I guaranteed you that.

Well, this doesn't say anything specific about the phone provider or any complexity of your network setup. Venting is a different emotion that pissed.
